So much to do so little time…

Lately I have been pretty stressed out with everything going on. Not only am I taking a full load of classes, but I am also working part time in order to pay for school. I think I may be over working myself. This last week off has been very helpful, and I’m trying to keep up with everything, but it is still a lot to handle. With more midterm exams coming up and many projects it just feels like too much. I’m starting to get really stressed out because it’s only been half a semester and I’m already feeling overwhelmed. Hopefully the rest of the semester will be better. Don’t get me wrong, I love being in school and learning, but it’s a lot to handle with everything else. I am very much looking forward to spring and summer. I had taken a spring class last year, but I doubt I will be doing so this year. I’m hoping to save enough money over the summer in order to pay for school next year. Hopefully I won’t have to work through the school year in the following years because it definitely adds stress.
Hope everyone is having a great year! Is anyone else feeling a bit overwhelmed?

Music!

If you’ve seen my about me video, you would know that I love anything music related. I like listening to music, or even playing my own music. I’ve played the piano for many years (since about the age of five) and recently started teaching myself guitar. Music has always been a huge passion for me, and so I thought I would share it with you. For the class ECMP 455, I’ve decided to teach a little something music related. I haven’t quite decided what I’m going to do, but I would like to possibly teach something on the piano.

As a side note, last year Joni and I started a Youtube channel, where we post videos of us playing or singing music. The other day we made a new video, and so I thought it would be fun to share with you. Yes the song is by the Jonas Brothers, but it truly is a beautiful song. Hope you enjoy it!

Super Bowl

GO SAINTS! I just finished watching the Super Bowl, and I’m happy to see that the New Orleans Saints won the game. I don’t really follow the NFL too much, but I was cheering for the Saints. I really didn’t think they would pull a win, but it just made the game much better. For anyone who watches The Ellen Show, she was the person who grabbed my attention towards the Super Bowl. Don’t get me wrong, the Saskatchewan Roughriders are still number one in my eyes, but it’s about time the Saints won the Super Bowl. Hope everyone had a great weekend, and if you watched the game who were you cheering for?

Vampires the new Prince Charming?

I was thinking today about all of the new television shows, movies, clothing, ect. that contain something about vampires. It seems as though ever since the Twilight Saga became a phenomenon, vampire are taking over the world (sort of). Vampires are no longer seen as the evil bloodsuckers, but now they are now the love interest in every story. For example, the new TV series The Vampire Diaries, is similar to Twilight where a vampire takes the place of prince charming, and protects the girl from all harm. If you ask me, it’s a little demeaning to women. I would like to think that women don’t actually need someone to come to their rescue every second of every day. It seems strange to think all these fictional characters are becoming the ‘princes’ in all these story. I don’t know about you, but I prefer real life over fantasy.

Who would you choose? Are you all about the vampires taking over, or do you prefer the prince charming?
